More information about HELLINGER 42 SiehDichFür Single Malt Whisky in gift box

"Dresden's charm and Saxony's soul" can be found in every bottle of Hellinger 42. Whiskies distilled according to the Scottish model and finished with Saxon perfection are created in the Dresden Whisky Manufactory. These single malt whiskies reflect the soul of Saxony with their unmistakable character and taste. Martin Brambach, known as a crime scene inspector, actor, author and connoisseur, regularly inspects the progress of production and is impressed by the outstanding quality of these Saxon whiskies.

This whisky is smoked over peat, matured in American bourbon casks and finished in sherry casks.

On the nose, this whisky develops the typical aroma of campfire smoke, accompanied by smoked bacon and speculoos spice. Sweet, dark dried fruit, chocolate and light vanilla notes round off the aroma.

On the palate, the whisky is complex and multi-layered, yet powerful and warm. Raisins and dark chocolate dominate, while smoke and oak provide a counterpoint to toffee and caramelized fruit.

The finish is strong and dense. After the smoke has evaporated, toffee and vanilla remain flattering on the palate.

The legend of the origin of the name SiehDichFür goes back to the time of the Thirty Years' War. In 1632, Swedish horsemen invaded the Vogtland region, plundering and pillaging, and also came to Grünbach. When the horsemen wanted to know the way to Schöneck, they asked old Mrs. Wittigen for the right path. However, she suspected that this would not mean anything good for the people of Schöneck and kept silent. It was only when she was threatened and her house set on fire that she showed the riders the way, but not the right one. Instead, she led them into the moor and called out to them: "Look at you four!" The riders are said to have sunk into the bog there. Even today, this place exudes a mystical atmosphere that makes the SiehDichFür so unique.
