More information about Island Brewery East Coast IPA
Not all coasts are the same and yet the brewers from the Baltic Sea prove that they have understood what it is all about. In America, there is an ongoing competition between the two beach regions of the West and East. Brewers from both regions are dedicated to producing flavorful India Pale Ales and claim that the tastiest, most drinkable and best example comes from their side of the country. Now the island brewery is throwing another East Coast IPA into the race, supporting the East with the serenity and stoicism of the far north.
The East Coast IPA from the Baltic Sea coast has a pleasant 5.6% alcohol content and is brewed with a solid trio of malts, grape sugar and hand-picked hop varieties. The Chinook variety is particularly striking: The apricot-colored beer exudes a delightful aroma of pink grapefruit and ripe red wild berries, and the taste also showcases hops at their most enjoyable. The aroma of sun-kissed fruit dripping with juice caresses the palate with a velvety texture, while a wonderful spiciness complements the summery fruit. The bitterness of the hops is reduced to a minimum and underpins the interplay of aromas with subtle notes. A mild tartness completes the taste profile of this amber-golden specialty beer.
