"Žlahtina Ivan Katunar is an autochthonous grape variety from the island of Krk in Croatia. The wine is bright, straw-yellow, clear and brilliant in the glass, with a pronounced varietal aroma, refreshing taste and refined fruity, mineral flavors. It has a juicy and refreshing texture in the mouth, is exceptionally balanced and will therefore enrich any of your meals.

On the beautiful Croatian island of Krk, in the Kvarner region, lies the Ivan Katunar winery. For several generations, the Katunar family of winemakers has been producing fresh and special wines from native varieties of the island of Krk (e.g. Žlahtina or Sansigot) as well as international grape varieties. Father and son, both named Ivan, are jointly committed to the high quality of their wine production, combining their passion for wine with the use of modern technologies. Young Ivan Katunar, together with his family, is already continuing this long-standing family tradition in viticulture and winemaking in order to market the importance of wine in everyday life, to preserve the family's attachment to their land, as well as to safeguard the accumulated knowledge for future generations.
