More information about Josef Langwieser's noble beersmith IPA
India Pale Ale is undisputedly one of, if not the favorite of the craft beer scene After the beer style was originally developed to send beer to colonial rulers in distant lands, it fell into oblivion for a long time Only with the advent of the craft beer movement was the IPA picked up again Today it is experiencing a huge renaissance and is part of the repertoire of every craft brewer and that of many traditional breweries But what triggers the fascination for this beer? It's probably the hops IPA naturally contains a large amount of them and invites brewers to really let off steam
With this in mind, we are not surprised that Josef Langwieser's Edelbierschmiede also has an India Pale Ale in its range
His interpretation presents itself in a heavily cloudy old gold color and is adorned with an airy splendor of off-white foam, tart grapefruit and fine caramel malt The first sip reveals a voluminous body with a velvety soft mouthfeel A beautiful hop tartness combines with grapefruit notes, full-bodied malt and creamy honey sweetness on the palate The accompanying bitterness is subtle and underlines the interplay of aromas without being dominant The beer closes with a pithy finish that is fruity and bitter from the hops
