More information about Gaas-Seidla
There are many mixed beer drinks. The classic Radler comes in sweet or sour, i.e. mixed with lemonade or sparkling water. For the Russ, wheat beer is mixed with white lemonade. However, wheat beer is also used for cola wheat or banana wheat. If you want to drink a spritz, you mix beer with Fassbrause and for the Almradler you use Almdudler as a mixed drink. Somewhat more absurd are cocktails such as the Helle Moritz, which is made from wheat and sparkling wine. There are numerous other variations in Franconia, but our favorite is definitely the Gaas-Maß. This refreshing drink is made from lager beer, cola and a cherry spirit.
The Krug version consists of lager, cola and exquisite dessert wine with cherries. Despite the higher percentage of ingredients, the mixed drink only has a mild 2.8% alcohol content. The delicacy flows into the glass in the color of cola and also smells like it. The typical scent of soda is accompanied by a hint of cherry - a pattern that is also reflected in the taste. Cola and cherry combine with a subtle tartness, light malt and grassy hop notes to create a sweet refreshment.
The Gaas-Seidla from Krug-Bräu is a welcome change from the conventional shandy and scores with the charm of the cherry and a strong cola note.
