More information about Keesmann Hell
Bamberg's Keesmann brewery is best known for its excellent Herrenpils. However, in addition to this classic beer, the long-established institution in the cathedral city also brews an outstanding Helles. The delicately spicy Franconian beer is enjoyed far beyond the borders of the World Heritage Site and delights beer drinkers from near and far. We like to drink Bamberg's favorite with a barbecue: The pale beer goes wonderfully with tender chicken or a fine grilled sausage with hearty mustard and sauerkraut. But grilled vegetables with a little olive oil and Mediterranean herbs also complement the beer's range of flavors well.
The appearance of the pale ale is impressive: crystal clear and the color of liquid gold, the pale Keesmann flows into the glass. An impressive amount of snow-white foam crowns the beer and invites you to take your first sip. The aroma, which is brought to light by the pleasantly dosed carbon dioxide, is also enticing: roasted malt meets freshly mown grass, subtle citrus fruit and spicy herbs on the nose. The first sip reveals a light-footed body with a strong character, soft malt notes caress the palate with a beautiful sweetness. Alongside a subtle acidity, a strong bitterness builds up, which increases towards the finish.
Keesmann's pale ale is a craft-brewed classic with delicately balanced flavors and a wonderful spiciness.
