Why no gin? We decided back then (2018) not to release a gin for a change. It has always been our dream to bring our own spirit to the market, but it should be something different than the next gin. Therefore, we bought a tabletop still and diligently tasted. The result was a juniper-free alternative. We simply left out the juniper, which forms the basis of any gin, and dedicated ourselves to other botanicals instead. Therefore, KEINGIN is actually not a gin! But it can be drunk like one and also has 40% alcohol by volume. And who are we? Maik is 28 years young, online marketing manager for a contact lens manufacturer and Viola, 31 years old, is a lecturer in adult education. The KEINGIN project is our baby and a matter of the heart. Not without pride we can say that we invented and developed the product ourselves.
