Dolcetto was the original everyday wine in Piedmont, when the locals only used Nebbiolo for special occasions. Significantly berriesier and less tannic than its more popular brother, Dolcetto is a great wine for a relaxed lunch between meals. While the name of the grape suggests a rather sweet taste, this is a very dry and lean red wine, reminiscent of a dance in a wild garden.
