The most famous growing region for this grape is Piedmont. The area is best known for its Barbaresco and Barolo wines, which are also made from the Nebbiolo grape. Nebbiolo is a demanding grape. It is the first to show itself in spring, but the last to ripen. It is often harvested more than a month after the other grapes. It is most comfortable in colder climates, although it needs southwest-facing fields to get as much sun as possible. While Barolos and Barbarescos are best cellared for 5-10 years, our Feisty can be enjoyed immediately.
