Über Normal Null, or Ü.NN for short, is a very special name for a very special beer. The pale beer from the Kehrwieder creative brewery not only stands out from its peers in terms of taste, it also has a unique characteristic: Ü.NN is Germany's first non-alcoholic pale ale.

Alcohol-free? Really. Even if you can't officially call it alcohol-free with 0.4% residual alcohol, it still counts as alcohol-free and is guaranteed not to give anyone a headache if they overindulge. And this is what the minimal percentages tempt you to do, as they guarantee the full taste. To brew a non-alcoholic beer like a conventional one, the brewers at Kehrwieder use a special yeast that cannot ferment the malt sugar. This enables a completely normal brewing process without producing alcohol. The aromatic Simcoe and Mosaic hop varieties, along with the yeast and the residual alcohol, ensure a wonderfully full-bodied taste.

Ü.NN flows into the glass in a beautifully deep amber hue and shows a slight cloudiness, which comes from the special yeast used. A tart yet fruity composition of orange, passion fruit and floral hop notes rises from the fine foam that crowns the beer. The smell is convincing, but the really important thing is the taste. But don't worry, the non-alcoholic IPA comes up trumps here too: Aromas of grapefruit and passion fruit meet a subtle malt sweetness on the tongue. A strong hop bitterness elegantly completes the interplay of aromas.

Even drivers will no longer have to do without delicious beer in future!
