Its power does not lie in its size - but it is precisely the small black currant that is worth creating a distillate from. Because what it does not show as a small round fruit in the hand - the black berry unfolds more than clearly in our mind: its concise, slightly masculine aroma, subtly tart and yet so fruity. Memories of dark red, refreshing cassis come to mind. No doubt about it: "Ribes negrum" - as the Latin name suggests - has it all.
