The Mönchsambacher Lager presents itself in a wonderfully naturally cloudy sunny yellow in the glass and has a stately, snow-white head of foam A strong aroma of oven-fresh bread, herbal hops and roasted malt entices you to take your first sip This reveals a full-bodied beer with a fine, soft texture and a great balance between hops and malt The latter reaches the palate first and delights the taste buds with a composition of creamy caramel, sweet grain and hearty sourdough bread The hops join in and contribute a wonderfully juicy palette of the finest notes, ranging from freshly mown grass to spicy herbs and a hint of summer flower meadow A pointed bitterness puts the icing on the cake of the aroma and rounds off the balanced taste experience perfectly The finish is to the point and inspires with clean bitterness and a perfectly matched sweetness
