More information about Mönchsambacher Christmas Bock
In the mood for Christmas? We recommend a Bock for Christmas!
Bock beer is a particularly festive style of beer that is traditionally brewed for festive occasions. Lent is heralded with a Bock beer, the dance into May is accompanied by a Maibock and, of course, a Bock is a must during the cold winter months. The powerful strong beer tastes particularly good at Christmas and we are by no means the only ones. Many traditional breweries have a Christmas or winter beer in their range, and in Franconia this is often a powerful bock.
This is also the case with the Zehendner brewery from Mönchsambach in Franconia. Their Christmas bock is a full-bodied festive beer with a rich 7.0% alcohol content and an inviting character. This pretty beer has a warm honey hue in the glass and a small crown of creamy, snow-white foam on the delicately cloudy body. On the nose, sweet malt mingles with floral hops, spicy honey, tangy citrus notes and a hint of grass. The first sip is silky smooth and dangerously drinkable. An aromatic malt richness caresses the taste buds and delivers an aroma peppered with notes of oven-fresh bread crust, caramel, vanilla, fruity hops, herbs and orange peel. Mönchsambacher Weihnachtsbock is a profound beer specialty that is full-bodied, flavorful and balanced.
