More information about Bad Penny
The Old Tom Gin called Bad Penny is a very intense representative of its type.
The interpretation of this style, which originated in the 18th century and was very popular in the 19th century, is based on the assumption that gin was sweetened with sugar, which was very popular as a modern luxury item. In these extremely drinkable times, the last penny (bad penny) was often spent on a sip of gin.
The Bad Penny gets its complex and intense aroma from 7 different botanicals. In addition to the fruity juniper, angelica with its spicy and earthy components plays an important role. A generous portion of sweet and bitter orange peel makes this gin, refined with brown cane sugar, a wonderful partner for cocktails.
