Hops for gin, malt for jenever or liqueur - that sounds plausible. But macerating ingredients such as sauerkraut, liver sausage, black pudding and ham, which are served on the famous German butcher's platter, in potato spirit and then distilling them with a large piece of smoked ham in the aroma basket takes some getting used to.
However, the taste is a feast and, in addition to juniper, mustard seeds, black pepper, coriander and dill seeds accompany the smoky ham aroma.
And after several hours of distillation, the butter-soft ham tastes delicious with our Funky Gin.

We distill all our spirits in the new location in the Bilderstöckchen district since 2020. Distilling is done with a 100l spirit still and a 600l capper still.
