More information about Schönramer Hell
Schönramer Hell is the flagship beer of the Private Landbrauerei Schönram. It is the most popular beer in the wide-ranging assortment and not only delights fans of the Upper Bavarian brewery. The Helle is an absolute favorite in international competitions and has already won several prestigious awards.
A very special type of barley is responsible for the special taste of the beer: Marthe is a grain from Old Bavaria that gives the beer the bright yellow color of ripe ears of corn and also conjures up a soft, balanced malt aroma in the beer. But in Schönram, it is not only the selection of the finest ingredients that is important. The raw materials are also processed with the utmost care: after the intensive mashing process, the beer is gently fermented cold in open vats and then has enough time to develop its full splendor in the secondary fermentation process. The result is a subtly balanced beer with floral hop notes and full-bodied malt.
The pale ale from Schönram flows into the glass in a rich straw yellow and is adorned with a veil of fragrant foam. On the nose, the beer presents itself with notes of sweet malt, oven-fresh bread crust, caramel and summer flower meadow; the first sip pampers the taste buds with aromas of cookies, roasted malt, soft caramel and grain. The hops add a playful floral note and balance the malty sweetness with a pleasant bitterness.
