The grapes for the Raats Old Vine Chenin Blanc come from vines over 40 years old - a guarantee of depth and character. The wine already shows its origins in its aroma: ripe quince, yellow apple and a hint of peach combine with spicy and mineral notes to create an elegant bouquet.
"On the palate, this Chenin Blanc impresses with clear fruit, fine structure and a harmonious balance. The aromas of stone fruit are subtly accompanied by citrus freshness - precise, lively and persistent in expression.
Around half of the wine matures for eleven months in French oak, which gives it additional complexity and depth without masking its freshness.
Ideal with fish, seafood or mild curry - or on its own as a stylish white wine.
