More information about Dolden Sud IPA
This specialty beer comes from the Riedenburger Brauhaus brewery and is a real hop bomb. Dolden Sud is an IPA, which the brewers affectionately call Bavarian India Pale Ale.
The IPA goes back to a real emergency: the English in the colonies missed their good English ale. There was a lack of both brewing utensils and the necessary raw materials abroad, so they wanted to transport the ale from their good old homeland to distant India. However, this project posed completely new difficulties, as not every beer survives such a long, arduous journey without damage. To increase the shelf life, an extra portion of hops and a little more alcohol were added to the beer without further ado. The plan was to simply dilute the beer back to its usual strength on site. Once tasted, however, the beer drinkers were delighted to discover that the beer tasted even better than the original when undiluted. The IPA was born!
The Dolden Sud IPA from the Riedenburger Brauhaus is brewed from organic ingredients and delights with a subtly balanced blend of hop bitterness, malt sweetness and yeast spice. The IPA flows into the glass in a slightly cloudy golden hue and forms a fine-pored, beige head. A subtle aroma of sun-ripened grain, spicy pine resin, earthy hops and tangy citrus fruit rises to the nose and tempts you to take your first sip. The first sip presents a dry IPA with crisp bitterness, elegant hop notes and fresh fruitiness.
A success!
