Our Saxon single malt whisky is the result of careful craftsmanship, time and the desire to preserve the essentials unadulterated.
This limited single cask bottling , Cask No. 15, matured for four years as a first fill in a fine Amarone della Valpolicella cask from Italy.
The cask gives it depth, warmth and fine fruity red wine notes.
Unfiltered and without colorants, it is clear, expressive and harmonious.
A whisky of quiet strength and balanced structure - created for special moments.
Aroma:
Fine wood with a fruity, dry red wine aroma
Finish:
Delicate woody notes, mildly fruity after red wine and dried plums
Ingredients:
Barley and roasted barley malt
Processing:
The malt is broken down without technical enzymes. Similar to beer brewing, the malt is added to hot water. The starch contained in the malt is then converted into fermentable sugar through various temperature levels and the added malt.
Production:
Gentle double distillation followed by 4.5 years of barrel ageing
