More information about RYEKORN
Korn, distilled since the 15th century, is one of Germany's most traditional spirits. All facets of its eventful history - from the grain tax to a ban on distilling to grain as part of the legendary "Herrengedeck" - are manifested in RYEKORN: characteristic, unmistakable, tough, not unforgiving, always believing in itself, authentic. At the same time - and this is what makes it "different" - very mild due to its rye base. A genuine and handmade rye grain from Hamburg's oldest spirits manufactory, distilled from the whole grain and stored in old clay jugs to perfection. A pleasure on its own as well as in many drinks.
Rye base
According to EU Regulation 110/2008, grain may not be flavored. This means that with Korn you can be sure that you are consuming a product that is free from flavorings and additives. And above all: unlike gin, for example, it is the actual product that makes the difference with Korn, not its flavoring. This is what gives rye, the basis of RYEKORN, its immense importance. This alone makes it a special grain, because most grain brandies are based on wheat. But also because rye - when carefully processed - produces a grain that is as characteristic as it is mild: RYEKORN.
Handmade
"From sowing to harvest" - and even a little further: RYEKORN not only stands for a grain that is as characteristic as it is mild, but also for one in which every step of the process is still carried out by hand. This starts with determining the recipe and continues with bottling, proper labeling and airtight sealing of the bottles through to shipping. Speaking of which: because we fill the bottles by hand, the filling quantity is not always identical - but don't worry: if in doubt, we have given the bottles a few milliliters more.

Hamburg
RYEKORN is deliberately produced in Hamburg's oldest spirits manufactory, which has been producing fine spirits in small batches according to old family recipes in beautiful Hamburg-Bergedorf since 1868. As production here is not only carried out in the traditional way, but the flavors are also fine-tuned beforehand, we were able to ensure that RYEKORN is the result of a development process that is as careful as it is cautious and prudent. In short: for RYEKORN, Hamburg also stands for the gateway to the world, but above all for 150 years of experience and craftsmanship in its production.

Drinks
Never heard of KORN Tonic, KORN Fizz, KORNopoliton, CO(R)N Avocado and KORN Watermelon? Neither had we. Until we handed our bartender Christopher a bottle of RYEKORN and added a few soft drinks, fruit and other ingredients. The result: countless long drinks and cocktails that are as creative as they are delicious, the best of which you can find on Instagram and Facebook as well as under this link. It's easy to see at this point that RYEKORN can be used for at least as many drinks as vodka or rum, for example. Cheers!
