Exquisite pomegranate liqueur from Gut Schwechow
The former manor "Gut Schwechow" in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern is now known for the production of exquisite alcoholic specialties in the estate's own distillery. Experienced distillers work at full speed here every day to produce fine fruit brandies, fruity liqueurs and even genuine German gin for the palates of customers.
One of these unique alcoholic specialties is the tart yet fruity-sweet pomegranate liqueur. The fine liqueur is particularly suitable for mixing cocktails, as a long drink, neat or on ice. The liqueur is best served at a temperature of around 15 to 18 degrees Celsius.
The ruby-red drink is not produced by distillation like a classic fruit brandy, but by filtration. First, the pomegranate seeds are removed from the skin and then soaked in alcohol. Observing the appropriate maceration time is of great importance here. After the soaking time, the pomegranate seeds are then pressed in alcohol and filtered. Finally, the product is refined with a delicious sweetness.

Schwechow fruit distillery
Schwechow Manor is a historic estate built in 1229, which today houses the Schwechow Fruit Distillery. The distillery produces fine fruit brandies, spirits, liqueurs and gin and is located in the heart of the Mecklenburg Elbe Valley Nature Park. The distillery originally dates back to the 18th century. Today, high-quality spirits are produced here under the motto "Preserve tradition, shape the future", including many in limited editions. Our fruit brandies, spirits and liqueurs are made from the best and most aromatic fruit. The estate's lovingly restored former pigeon house houses Mecklenburg-Vorpommern's first fruit capper distillery.
