The Simonsig Frans Malan Cape Blend shimmers a velvety red in the glass and has an intense aroma of blackberries and black cherries. A hint of vanilla plays around the fruity aromas. On the palate, the cuvée of Pinotage (66%), Cabernet Sauvignon (28%) and Merlot (6%) also shows its fruity side and scores with pleasant freshness and soft tannins before finishing with a long-lasting aftertaste. The Simonsig Frans Malan Cape Blend, which matures for thirteen months in French and American oak, owes its name to the founder of the winery. Enjoy this red wine either on its own or with dark meat dishes - beef is particularly recommended - or duck.
