Slyrs single malt whisky finished in Sauternes casks - a unique pleasure.
Discover the Slyrs Sauternes Finish, a limited edition bottling of the Finishing Series, which was first launched in 2016. Originally, only a few thousand bottles were available for the global market, but due to its increasing popularity, the Bavarian whisky distillery Slyrs has decided to make larger stock quantities available and include this variant as a permanent fixture in its portfolio.
What makes this Slyrs single malt whisky so special is the unique finishing in the original Sauternes cask. Every French Sauternes is a true white wine work of art. The ideal conditions in the vineyards of Bordeaux, such as the autumn fog, allow the formation of a noble fungus that gives the wine its unmistakable taste.
It is precisely this special aroma that is transferred to the Slyrs whisky through the finishing process in Sauternes barrels.
