The Smoky Mix BBQ seasoning salt is a "must have" for all barbecue lovers. Smoky aroma meets Kampot pepper and in combination with a light chili note, this spicy mixture provides a unique taste experience. Not too hot, but not too mild either - simply hearty and balanced, this spice goes with everything you put on the barbecue. The Smoky Mix seasoning salt as a rub, i.e. dry for rubbing in or as a marinade, is a delicious accompaniment for beef, pork, chicken or fish. Connoisseurs also use it for meatballs, fried potatoes, tofu, in a chili con carne or as a topping for freshly prepared vegetables and other delicacies. In addition to black Kampot pepper and smoked long sweet chili, fleur de sel from the coast of Kampot (Cambodia) also forms the basis for this smoky blend. Dried garlic rounds off the unmistakable aroma of the Smoky Mix perfectly.
Our Kampot pepper is traditionally cultivated and comes directly from the farm in Cambodia. The other ingredients in the Smoky Mix BBQ seasoning salt also come from Cambodia and are of course also grown and harvested naturally and without chemical additives. The mildly hot sweet long chili and garlic are dried in the sun immediately after harvesting. The chilies are then smoked over a fire. The wood from local mango trees provides a wonderfully smoky note that perfectly complements the sweet aroma of the chilli. Our fleur de sel comes from the Cambodian coast, which is not far from the farm. There, the sea salt blossoms are carefully skimmed off with a wooden ladle and sun-dried by the salt farmers.
