Here in the north there is the legend of the "Treasure of the Elbe".
A golden liqueur elixir - the recipe for which is passed down from generation to generation.
It gets its striking and sparkling color from the lemon of the north - the sea buckthorn.
For my "Elbschatz", I have mixed the golden fruit with the finest rum. It is drunk as we do in the north - straight up without any frippery. And for those who can't do that - I like it as Elbschatz Spritz with Secco and a dash of water.
