More information about Snowy Owl Yasmin Berliner Weisse
The Schneeeule brewery in Berlin has dedicated itself to the renaissance of the once very popular Berliner Weisse beer style. Behind the wings of the white owl is Ulrike Genz, who is a brewmaster with heart and soul and puts all her skill and passion into relaunching the beer that has fallen into disrepute. For a long time, Berliner Weisse was frowned upon among real beer lovers because it was drunk exclusively with an addition of sweet syrup. The "Gepansche" did not go down well in the beer scene. Today, the Weisse from the capital is experiencing a new hype: Numerous craft brewers took up the challenge of helping Berliner Weisse regain its former glory. They left out the unpopular syrup and brewed Berliner Weisse that could be enjoyed entirely without sweetening.
Yasmin is one such example of Berliner Weisse, and instead of syrup it receives a noble portion of jasmine blossoms. The white beauties lend an exotic note to the sour beer and balance the acidity with wonderful florality. Lactic acid bacteria and very special yeasts also ensure a very special character and a playful lightness that makes Yasmin the perfect summer beer.
Schneeeules Yasmin presents itself in the color of sun-kissed straw in the glass and is wonderfully cloudy. A handsome amount of airy foam crowns the beer while smelling delicately of jasmine blossoms and crisp sour summer fruits. The aftertaste follows the olfactory first impression: With tingling carbonation and subtly balanced notes of vineyard peach, white gooseberries, green apples and jasmine blossoms, the Berliner Weisse delights.
