The Steenberg 1682 Chardonnay Cap Classique shines a bright lemon yellow in the glass and delights with its fine perlage and fresh aromas. The aroma is reminiscent of green apple, white peach and candied lemon - lively and inviting from the very first moment.
"On the palate, the Cap Classique is multi-layered and spirited. A crisp acidity gives it freshness, while citrus fruits, nectarines, honey and pistachios ensure an expressive taste experience. After traditional bottle fermentation, the sparkling wine matures on the lees for 12 to 18 months, gaining in complexity and finesse.
As an elegant aperitif, the Steenberg Cap Classique is ideal for festive occasions, but also goes equally well with light dishes such as fish, salad or fine finger food.
