More information about Tilmans Biere Mit Ohne
With without is with taste and without alcohol!
The label of Tilman's "Mit Ohne" features a lion and a crocodile on a tandem bike. Both are holding a bottle and look extremely happy. Anyone who is now worried about the two of them because, as we know, you don't drink and drive can relax again straight away. It's highly likely that the two of them drink without and therefore have a sharpened mind and are still 0 per mille even after the fifth bottle. And this is not due to the animal strength of the wildcat and reptile, but to their beer of choice: Mit Ohne is Tilman's first non-alcoholic beer!
Like its alcoholic counterparts, the non-alcoholic wheat beer from Tilmans Biere is a highlight on the beer market and a classic at heart. Tilman's beer for teetotallers also takes a traditional beer style and makes it his own with a few changes and additions. With the help of Australian hops Vic Secrets, the brewer conjures up a fruity, malty creation that is slightly bitter and very refreshing. Aromas of tropical fruit mingle with the scent of hop blossom and are accompanied by an earthy, grassy note of fresh grain. With its sunny yellow colour and pleasant carbonation, it is almost indistinguishable from the alcoholic wheat and is just as tasty.
We recommend Tilman's "Mit Ohne" to anyone who wants to ride a bike race with a lion and crocodile after the regulars' table, to anyone who wants to spend the time between carnival and Easter abstinent but not without beer and to those who still need to recover from their last hangover.
Tasting note from our beer sommelier Marco Liebig:
One of the biggest challenges for a master brewer is making a good non-alcoholic beer. This segment is currently growing rapidly and even small breweries are starting to serve this segment. Beer sommelier Marco Liebig presents a very successful example:
After pouring, we are greeted by a naturally cloudy, pale yellow beer with a fine-pored head.
On the nose I have lychee, lime, lemon zest, a light honey and grassy note with a subtle biscuit dough.
The first sip is smooth and fruity with a slight sweetness, a brief bitterness and elegant citrus notes.
The citrus note remains in the finish.
Our conclusion:
A light and well-tolerated non-alcoholic beer! How often have I heard that many alcohol-free beers are overcarbonated? Tilmans has conjured up a great beer here, which still has flavor and the perlage stays nicely in the background. Definitely encourages a second beer.
Food recommendation:
Greek lemon soup with chicken, cauliflower and fennel soup, light salads with a light vinaigrette.
