Harvested by hand, the leaves are collected in baskets and gently dried in the shade using the prevailing sea breeze. This preserves important essential oils and the intense flavor of this Greek mint.
The volcanic soils and the dry microclimate of the island of Lemnos provide us with herbs of exceptional quality. The natural cultivation of native varieties contributes to the preservation of the local biodiversity of the North Aegean island.
As well as being used in hot and cold dishes, this mint is also suitable for making tea.
