More information about 12 x Finne organic Helles
Helles originated in southern Germany, more precisely in Munich, where it is still a popular beer style. The names Münchner Hell, Bayrisch Hell or Helles Lager reveal that the beer is characterized by its light yellow color. In the 19th century, this was something completely new for the region, which was known for its darker beers.
Just like the popular Pilsner, the pale lager is brewed with bottom-fermenting yeasts and lightly kilned malts. Compared to Czech Pilsner, the less hopped "Helle" tastes malty and aromatic, a little sweet and less bitter.
