The Alto Rouge celebrates its 100th anniversary with this vintage - that alone is remarkable. The second special feature: with the Alto Rouge Magnum, the red wine icon is also available in a large bottle - exclusively from CAPREO throughout Europe.
"Dark red and complex, the cuvée is made from Cabernet Sauvignon (44%), Shiraz (42%), Cabernet Franc (12%) and Petit Verdot (2%) already in the glass and impresses with intense fruity notes of blackberries and plums. Nuances of oak and pine needles lend the Alto Rouge Magnum even more richness.
The red wine owes its good structure and soft tannins to its eighteen months of ageing in French and American oak.
If you would like to serve the Alto Rouge Magnum with food, dishes with beef or pasta as well as mature cheese are a very good choice. But the 100th vintage of this wonderful red wine is also a real treat on its own.
