More information about Asara Cape White Blend 2018
The Asara Cape White Blend shimmers in an inviting straw yellow in the glass. As the letters CVC already suggest, the white wine cuvée consists of Chenin Blanc (68%), Chardonnay (22%) and Viognier (10%) and delights with its extraordinary complexity. Beautiful fruit notes such as quince, peach and lemon are underpinned by well-integrated oak nuances and mineral tones. The Asara Cape White Blend ends with a long, fresh finish. The two grape varieties, Chenin Blanc and Viognier, were aged in oak for nine to eleven months, while the Chardonnay component of the wine was aged in clay amphorae and concrete egg. After blending, the wine remained on its lees for another three months. Enjoy the Asara Cape White Blend with rich cheese, but definitely once pure.
