The Babylonstoren Nebukadnesar pours into the glass in a dark ruby red and shows its spicy side with its aromas of cedar, thyme and oregano at first. Notes of blackberries, plums and black cherries lend the bouquet a fruity component, while nuances of violets provide a beautiful floral element. Silky soft tannins caress the palate and give the red wine cuvée made from Cabernet Sauvignon (49%), Merlot (25%), Petit Verdot (13.5%), Cabernet Franc (12%) and Malbec (0.5%) a great mouthfeel. The opulent Babylonstoren Nebuchadnesar matured for 23 months in French oak and five months in the bottle. This classic red blend is full of character and is best enjoyed with game, beef or lamb in a red wine sauce.
