More information about Blaauwklippen De Blaauwe Klip 2017
Already with its dark red color and in the bouquet, the Blaauwklippen De Blaauwe Klip inspires the connoisseur. The multilayered aromas, notes of blackcurrants and plums combined with chocolate and smoky tones. Lush tannins caress the palate and ensure that the full-bodied cuvée of Cabernet Sauvignon (38%), Merlot (24%), Cabernet Franc (14.5%), Malbec (14.5%) and Petit Verdot (9%) will be remembered for a long time before bidding farewell with a mineral finish. The red wine was aged for 16 months in French oak and is an excellent companion to dishes with dark meat. The name De Blaauwe Klip recalls the blue granite soil in the Dwarsriver and was the earliest known name for Blaauwklippen.
