The production and bottling of our BOHO - Bohemian Dry Gin takes place in the heart of the Ruhr area, in many individual steps as a classic craft with great attention to detail. Handmade is not just nice marketing, but is an integral part of the philosophy of our distillery, which has been family-run since 1878 and is now in its fourth generation. We handle every bottle of our gin several times before it finds its way into the cartons and onto the markets or to the end customer.
Attention to detail and quality apply not only to the actual craft, but of course also to the selection of our botanicals. Each ingredient is tested for its aroma intensity before maceration and distillation in order to avoid fluctuations in the flavor profile. We can rely on small, regional suppliers to guarantee the best possible quality of our gin with every batch and a consistent taste experience from badge to badge.

BOHO Gin
In the late summer of 2020, the idea came up to produce our own gin. It was important to us that we take everything into our own hands: Trying out recipes, testing ratios, picking up botanicals and throwing them out again. Over a period of 9 months, we tried out different gin recipes in our kitchen and then worked out the perfect recipe together with our distiller. The result is New Western Dry Gin with 13 botanicals that is as not "mainstream" as the Bohemian lifestyle and attitude.
