More information about Breaks Free

Breaks Free: the alcohol-free gin variant for all fans of 0 per mille

What is it: it looks like gin, tastes (almost) like gin, goes down your nose like gin - but not to your head? Exactly. Gin, but alcohol-free. Doesn't go together? Actually, we think it goes very well. And have added Breaks Free to our range for you.

What makes gin a gin? Alcohol, of course, but only partly. The main thing is the botanicals. Herbs and spices, carefully selected and finely balanced. Our typical Breaks aroma now also makes it into an alcohol-free version of our popular Breaks Gin. We call it gin, even though it comes without its other 40%+ vol. It also contains no sugar or animal ingredients, making it vegan.

What's inside? Natural raw materials in proven Breaks quality and our special Breaks botanicals, typical of the region and creatively combined to create a driving-friendly gin alternative. What does the non-alcoholic alternative taste like? How Breaks always tastes: bombastically natural. Similar to a herbal lemonade, only not as sweet. Much stronger than herbal tea. It's not easy to describe - better to experience it live. As befits a gin, the juniper comes through, paired with a lot of freshness. Intense flavor without any alcohol.

Why should I avoid alcohol in gin? There are many reasons for avoiding alcohol. Strictly speaking, you don't even need a reason. We listened to the Breaks fans and were happy to make their wish for an alcohol-free version come true. We have tried, combined and varied. Here it is: Breaks Free.

How do I drink alcohol-free gin? Just like high-proof Breaks Gin: with a lot of enjoyment. With tonic water and a lemon zest, have fun.

Breaks Free: treat yourself to 0% alcohol and a 100% gin experience.

Breaks gin

Aromatic time out. Take your break. Our name says it all, because we think "gin o' clock" is not just a saying, but time to say yes. To a few moments of break. To a glass of good gin. To simply letting the day be the day. And because the label "Breaks", once known as "Breaks Records", has been with us for a long time. But the former record store of Harald Reinholz is not the beginning. It goes back even further, when Harry was still small and his grandfather was an enthusiastic distiller. The future Breaks founder liked to look over his shoulder, "I think my fascination for distilling was already born back then," he says, and in 2014 he finally put the long-standing idea of creating his own gin into practice with the first recipe and distilling experiments. In 2015, the first bottle of Breaks Gin is corked - a decades-long passion flows into this bottle, and it flows into all those...
