More information about Cocoa Psycho
BrewDog's Cocoa Psycho inspires with the splendour of days long past: the voluminous beer creation harks back to the lavish decadence and luxury of the Russian tsars The monarchs were known for their penchant for extravagance and their love of excess The festivities at the Russian court have a legendary reputation and were supposedly characterized by exuberance and a touch of megalomania This is exactly where the brewers at BrewDog come in: Their Russian Imperial Stout is hard to beat in terms of full-bodiedness and intensity
Cocoa Psycho presents itself in velvety soft mahogany in the glass, a veil of hazelnut brown foam adorns the opaque body The dark beauty hides a secret that can already be detected in the aroma: In addition to the usual ingredients, the brewers have used vanilla pods, coffee beans and cocoa beans These exotic raw materials give the beer a seductive aroma of freshly brewed coffee, milk chocolate and caramel The first sip follows the olfactory first impression and caresses the palate with big roasted aromas and flavor nuances of delicately melting chocolate, Espresso, candied red fruits, toasted malt, cocoa and licorice A hint of smoke adds an interesting touch to the velvety beer, while the alcohol provides a warmth that spreads from the mouth to the stomach The finish is strongly bitter and enchants with a fine vanilla note
