More information about Brauhaus am Kreuzberg Zwickelbier
In Franconia, the Zwickel, often spelled Zwickl, is an absolute classic: the strong cellar beer goes wonderfully with regional cuisine and complements roasts, dumplings, savoy cabbage and snacks with a wonderfully fine spiciness and tasty variety of malts. In the past, the Zwickel was left to the brewer, today we all benefit from it.
The Zwickelbier from the Brauhaus am Kreuzberg is an extremely successful representative of its kind. The cellar beer has an alcohol content of 4.9% and already makes a pretty good impression visually: the beer flows into the glass in a clear, shiny copper red and is adorned with a beautiful crown of white, creamy foam. A bouquet of mown, lush green grass, oven-fresh bread, sun-ripened grain, spicy yeast and juicy oranges rises to the nose and makes you look forward to the first sip. This reveals a decent body with a mild attack. Full-bodied notes of stone-baked bread, honey, cereals, caramel and roasted hazelnuts represent the malt, while the hops contribute floral notes, tangy citrus notes, spicy herbs and a harmonious bitterness. The enjoyment of the beer leads to a crisp, bitter finish that fills you with a thirst for the next bottle.
The Zwickelbier from Brauhaus am Kreuzberg is a down-to-earth cellar beer in the Franconian style - the perfect drink to quench your thirst for beer!
