More information about BRLO Kottbusser Tor
For a long time, Berlin Kreuzberg was considered a tough place. You didn't want to walk through it in the dark, and you didn't go there unless you absolutely had to. The district in the east of Berlin has since undergone a drastic transformation: more and more people discovered the previously ignored corner of the capital for themselves and Kreuzberg became first a trend and then a cult.
In the middle of the area bursting with life and culture is the Kottbusser Tor subway station, affectionately called Kotti by Berliners. For years, Kotti has been considered the meeting place and center of Kreuzberg, attracting visitors with its international flair, iconic prefabricated buildings, the legendary Babylon cinema, museums, concert halls, pubs and food from all over the world.
Berliners are proud of their Kotti and its transformation. Even the brewers of the capital's brewery BRLO have taken the U8 to Kotti countless times. Now they want to put that incomparable feeling into a beery homage to Kottbusser Tor.
The eponymous beer is a strong character Imperial Berliner Weisse with elderberry, hibiscus blossoms and orange peel, which is bottled in aromatic oak barrels after the brewing process is complete. These barrels were previously home to a fine Cabernet Sauvignon and pass on the flavors of this noble drop to the beer over the course of 9 months of aging. The result is a ruby-red beer that combines the fruity acidity of a Berliner Weisse with the full-bodied aromatics of a red wine.

Brlo - Your Berlin Beer As a Berlin brewery and catering company, we stand for modern beer diversity and distinctive experiences. A Franconian, a Berliner and a Mecklenburger founded the Berlin beer brand BRLO in 2014. Two of them, Katharina Kurz and Christian Laase, already know each other from their studies. Diplom Braumeister Michael Lembke is the third in the group, who shared the dream and has been the mastermind of BRLO beers since the beginning. However, the BRLO team is only really complete in 2016, when Ben Pommer joins the founding team and has since been responsible for the culinary concept of the BRLO Gastronomien with his unmistakable passion. From the original two beer styles Helles and Pale Ale, many different beer styles have grown over the years: Starting...
