More information about sweet consequinces
After the successful collaboration with Dr. Johannes Sauer, Orca Brau brings the next Sauer on board for their latest brew Partner in Crime is none other than Sebastian Sauer, genius and wild brewer behind Freigeist Bierkultur from Stolberg With joint forces and two special ingredients, the duo of friends brewed Sweet Consequinces
The sour ale is refined with honey and quince Before the golden extra ingredients found their way into the beer, the duo brewed a light-footed sour ale with a mild character After completion, the work was supplemented with exquisite honey and the juice of fresh quinces After bottling, the brew was then pasteurized, to prevent the yeast from converting all the honey sugar into alcohol Interrupting the fermentation process ensures that the beer retains a maximum of honey and quince flavor The unmistakable aroma of the woody autumn fruit and the soft creaminess and spiciness of the honey harmonize wonderfully with the natural acidity of the ale and create a skillful balance of sweet, sour and fruity notes
The name of the beer is a little play on words and combines the English words for consequences and quince in a witty expression Shouldering consequences is often not a pleasant affair, but we enjoy drinking Orcas Sweet Consequinces every day!
