More information about Hazy IPA
Given the choice, most people prefer little to no cloudiness When it comes to beer, however, things are quite different After decades of crystal-clear Pilsner topping the rankings, the craft beer movement has brought us a whole range of heavily cloudy beers that are enjoying great popularity India Pale Ales with rich yeast turbidity and grippy textures that are anything but transparent are particularly popular
An excellent example of this category is the latest beer from Sakiškių alus, which even has cloudiness in its name: Their Hazy IPA was created in collaboration with the team at Browar Rockmill and owes its fierce opacity to a generous amount of different grains Wheat and oats shape a creamy mouthfeel and the naturally cloudy appearance The full-bodied malt base is joined by hop varieties known for their tropical notes With a skillful hand, the team HBC 586, Sabro Lupomax and Mosaic so that a maximum of juicy fruit gets into the beer without driving up the bittering units The yeast supports the summery fruitiness and contributes its share to the cloudiness A touch of maltodextrin provides a little extra sweetness
The end result has a good 6.1% alcohol content in the glass and is citrus-fresh, tropical and drinkable
