The composition of the Bruwer Vintners Red Blend is unique in South Africa, as the red wine consists of Grenache Noir (37%), Syrah (36%) and Pinotage (27%). While Grenache Noir provides a beautiful freshness and floral tones, the Syrah grapes give the wine its characteristic spice and structure, and Pinotage is responsible for the fruity component. The Bruwer Vintners Red Blend is therefore simply a delight on its own, but this exceptional red wine, which has matured for sixteen months in French oak, also goes wonderfully with a risotto with mushrooms or duck breast.
