The Kanonkop Kadette Cape Blend presents itself in a bright, deep ruby red. A multi-layered bouquet of blackcurrants, raspberries, cherries and black plums unfolds on the nose, accompanied by cinnamon and a subtle hint of chocolate.
"On the palate, the cuvée of Pinotage (33%), Cabernet Sauvignon (32%), Merlot (31%), Cabernet Franc (2%) and Petit Verdot (2%) is lively and fresh with juicy aromas of ripe summer berries. The fruit is supported by a firm but silky tannin structure. Spicy notes accompany the long, lingering finish and add the finishing touch to the wine, which has matured for twelve months in French oak. Whether pasta, savory or meat dishes - the Kanonkop Kadette Cape Blend is always a good choice.
