The wine Nepente comes from the hilly, granitic soil in and around the locality of Oliena. The strict limitation of yields and the optimal ripening time for harvesting, result in an incomparably smooth wine.
The tasting
A ruby red wine with lots of spice, coffee, chocolate and some bacon fat. After 30 minutes, stronger aromas of plum and fig emerge. The palate is dry, with racy acidity, tannic, medium-bodied, very powerful with a long finish.
It is a very well made wine that shows intense spicy notes, balanced, lots of fruit and long finish.
