The tannins are elegantly balanced and lead to a long, lingering finish that reveals a subtle sweetness with a hint of licorice. The wine is matured for 18 months in French oak barrels and goes perfectly with dark meat or spicy dishes. But Chamonix Greywacke Pinotage is also a delight on its own. The name of this complex red wine is derived from the soil type of the vineyard that provided the grapes for the Chamonix Greywacke Pinotage.
