COCALERO DE ALTURA is carefully crafted from hand-picked Andean botanicals. For each batch, our master distiller selects the highest quality ingredients from the markets in La Paz to ensure that each sip reveals a rich and complex flavor profile.
DESTILLATION PROCESS - Our distillery is located at 3,600 meters above sea level in La Paz, Bolivia, in the shadow of the "Muela del Diablo" mountain, which translates to "Devil's Tooth." Production at extreme altitude allows for lower temperatures to create cleaner flavors. The resulting distillate is left to rest for at least 30 days before being diluted with natural spring water from the Cordillera Real mountains.
TASTE - This exceptional herbal liqueur is characterized by a variety of more than 20 botanicals: Palo Santo lends uniquely complex nuances of caramel and vanilla, while coriander adds raw and earthy undertones. Eucalyptus complements the blend with refreshing menthol, citrus notes and pine resin, rounded off by the pungent sweetness of aniseed, which lends a hint of licorice flavor.
INGREDIENTS - Palo Santo, açaí, cocoa, copuazú, coca leaf and wild Amazonian coriander are just a selection of the natural ingredients that make up this truly unique spirit.
