The Constantia Uitsig Constantia Red is a well-balanced cuvée of Cabernet Sauvignon (54%), Merlot (20%), Cabernet Franc (14%), Malbec (7%) and Petit Verdot (5%), which sparkles ruby red in the glass. Fruity notes of blackcurrants, plums and dark cherries unfold on the nose and are accompanied by smoky undertones and a hint of mint. Notes of cigar box and dark fruit can also be found on the palate, accompanied by a good tannin structure. This long-lasting and elegant red wine matured for fifteen months in small French oak barrels and is a wonderful accompaniment to beef, game or savory dishes.
