The De Toren Edition Z 2018 is an approachable red wine cuvée that celebrates the art of winemaking. The Edition Z shimmers a deep red in the glass, while beguiling notes of dark fruit and mulberries emanate from it. There is also a fine acidity, rounded off by sweet spicy notes and a hint of aniseed. This vintage is a very special one; the peak of the drought led to low yields, which nevertheless produced particularly multi-layered and complex wines that are highly sought after by connoisseurs. The grape varieties Merlot (54%), Cabernet Franc (17%), Cabernet Sauvignon (12%), Malbec (12%) and Petit Verdot (5%) are represented in this wine. The De Toren Edition Z is a good food companion that goes particularly well with delicately spicy dishes such as lamb, duck, beef and pork.
