More information about Domaine Kirrenbourg Pinot Noir Terroir B AOC Alsace 2019
Domaine Kirrenbourg, formerly Martin Schätzel de Kirrenbourg, is located in the valley of Kayserberg and overlooks the Schlossberg Grand Cru site, where it cultivates vineyards and produces great white wines. The Pinot Noir Terroir B comes from a peripheral site of the Grand Cru site Brand in Turckheim and has its plots in the direct vicinity of this white wine site.
A perfect example of the uncompromising perfection with which Kirrenbourg works. The Kirrenbourg vineyards have been undergoing conversion to biodynamics since 2015 and have been Demeter-certified since 2018/19. The wine presents itself in the glass in a brilliant ruby red and unfolds a filigree nose of bright red fruits, white currant, raspberry and fresh, wet forest soil as well as mushrooms with a present vanilla note. On the palate, a finely integrated acidity carries the aromas of the fruit together with round tannins to a long, yet not intrusive finish.
The Pinot Noir Terroir B can be enjoyed on its own or with a suprême de poulet and morel cream sauce as well as hand-scraped spaetzle.
