The state of Michoacán lies to the west of Mexico City. The village of Pino Bonito is located in a wooded area at around 2,100 meters above sea level. This is where José Emilio Vieyra Rangel distils the finest agave distillates in the 6th generation. The Alto agave variety used for this mezcal is a wild variety that is mainly found in the state of Michoacán. It is harvested at the age of 8 to 14 years. The aroma of this agave spirit shines with a fresh character with notes of forest, citrus fruits, a little smoke and agave .
